Tempering & Stress relieving process

At Fast Forge Heat Treatment, tempering is carried out immediately after hardening to reduce brittleness and achieve the required strength and toughness. Components are reheated between 150°C and 750°C using advanced forced-air circulation furnaces for uniform, consistent results. We also offer stress relieving for welded and forged parts at 400°C to 700°C, as well as solution annealing for enhanced structural stability. For high-temperature tempering above 600°C, we use controlled-atmosphere, sealed retort, or salt bath furnaces to prevent oxidation and ensure superior metallurgical quality. Our controlled processes guarantee reliable, high-performance components for demanding industrial applications.

Hardening

At Fast Forge Heat Treatment, we deliver high-precision steel hardening services designed to enhance strength, durability, and performance across a wide range of industrial applications. Our process involves controlled heating of carbon, alloy, and high-carbon high-chromium steels to exact temperatures (810°C–910°C and 980°C–1040°C), followed by uniform soaking to ensure complete austenitization. Depending on the steel grade and section size, components are quenched using molten salt, oil, polymer solutions, or aqueous salt solutions, ensuring optimal hardness with minimal distortion. With advanced furnaces—including salt bath, sealed retort gas atmosphere, rotary retort, shaker hearth, and tray pusher-type systems—we handle everything from fasteners and small parts to heavy forgings and castings with exceptional consistency. To guarantee quality, our in-house lab offers complete hardness testing such as Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers, Micro-Vickers, Rebound, and Poldi Bar. Fast Forge Heat Treatment is your trusted partner for reliable, high-performance heat treatment solutions that meet stringent industry standards.
